Price Transparency

We are confident that our prices represent true value to families in their time of need. If you plan to make price comparisons with other funeral providers please be sure to check that you compare like for like and that all costs are included in the quoted price.

We manage our business costs carefully and keep our overheads low, so we don’t have to pass on any unnecessary costs to you.

COMPETITION & MARKETS AUTHORITY (CMA)

From 16th September 2021, all UK funeral directors are legally required by the CMA to publish and display in their window:

A specifically formatted price list for a standardised set of products and services (displayed separately).

This should finally give clarity to families who have been faced with cryptic formats or hidden costs.

A separate poster including a disclosure of interests.

Which should give clarity to the ownership of the business and eradicate those making gifts to third parties which could be seen to incentivise them.

  • Bringing the deceased into our care during office hours 9am-5pm (out of hours - additional charge of £125)

  • Personal attention to return cremated remains to applicant/client

Direct Cremation
No Funeral Service will take place, viewing at Chapel of Rest is permitted. If the Doctors Fee (£82.00) is not required, this will be deducted from the cost.
The full cost is payable in advance of this service being provided.

A Comprehensive Funeral Option (Cremation)

  • Professional Services*
  • Bringing the deceased into our care, 24 hours of the day
  • Hearse only (Limousines are available) Black or Silver Fleet
  • Light oak effect coffin with six handles and nameplate (many other coffins available – at an additional cost)
  • Use of Chapel of Rest to visit your loved one (evening & weekends can be arranged)
  • Funeral Service and Cremation at Worthing Crematorium, Findon (other local Crematoria available - see below)
  • Doctors Fee
  • Minister/Celebrant Fee to officiate with the Service

Comprehensive Funeral
If the Doctors Fee (£82.00) is not required, this will be deducted from the cost. Please note, if the funeral service is desired at or after 10.30am, Worthing Crematorium charge an additional £260.00.

Should you wish to organise a pre-paid funeral plan, please add £249 to the above prices.

*Professional Services - Providing a 24-hour service and support to our clients. Arranging and managing any requirements, up to and including the funeral and providing an advisory service thereafter. Transfer of the deceased in a suitable vehicle including the necessary staff and equipment within the local area.

Disbursements - These are payments we make on your behalf

These may consist of:

  • Cremation or burial fees.
  • Church or Ministers fees.
  • Doctors fees.
  • Press announcements.
  • Flowers.
  • Catering.
  • Monumental Masons fees.

The above fees are added to the Funeral Directors charges to arrive at the final account. I require a payment of £1,500.00 in advance of the funeral. My final account for the balance of the funeral costs will be sent out a few days after the service.

Local Cemetery Fees:

Clayton Wood Natural Burial Ground. Purchase the Exclusive Right of Burial for £1,795 (North Meadow) depending on grave location. The interment fee of £590 (single depth only)

Adur & Worthing Council Cemeteries (Incl Durrington, Lancing & Sompting and Southwick). Purchase the Exclusive Right of Burial for £925. The interment fee from £1,495 depending on grave depth.

Arun District Council Cemeteries (Incl Findon, Littlehampton and Arundel). Purchase the Exclusive Right of Burial for £921. The interment fee from £982 depending on grave depth.

Brighton & Hove Cemeteries (Incl Hove, Lawn Memorial Woodingdean & Woodland Valley Natural Burial Ground, Woodingdean) Purchase the Exclusive Right of Burial £790. Purchase of grave for Woodland Valley £890. The interment fee of £994.

Brighton & Preston Cemetery. Purchase the Exclusive Right of Burial from £1,061.00 single depth only. The interment fee from £846.00
